Welcome to My Homestead!

Growing up on a homestead in rural Romania, self-sufficiency wasn't a trend - it was a way of life. Bees, chickens, pigs, and cows were part of our everyday routine. Our gravel driveway was covered in grapevines, and we drew water from a well. In our village, this was simply how things were done.

When I moved to the United States, I was blown away by the abundance and convenience of modern living. I pursued the American Dream, went to school, and found meaningful work. But something was missing. I longed for the satisfaction and joy that comes from crafting something with my own hands.

After years of chasing success, I decided to return to my roots and build a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Now in my second year of homesteading on my 1-acre property in Oregon, I want to share my journey with the amazing homesteading community that has inspired me. I'll share my successes and failures, and what I've learned along the way. Whether you're working with an acre, five acres, or a balcony, I hope to inspire you to take small steps toward your own self-sustaining life.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and welcome to my homestead.
